4th of July 2026

Here are details of the WSNA Parade & Celebration of America's 250th Birthday!  

COMMUNITY PARADE Bring your decorated bikes, wagons, strollers, scooters, and patriotic spirit! Our neighborhood parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and is a favorite tradition for families of all ages. 

We will meet at the corner of Washington and Olive St., then will head north on Olive, left on 15th Street, left on Freeman, left onto 10th street and left on Olive Street. We'll end up where we started, Olive & Washington. The parade will be led by our local fire truck (if not called away for an emergency). 

🚲 PATRIOTIC BIKE, WAGON & STROLLER CONTEST Decorate your bike, wagon, stroller, scooter, or tricycle in red, white, and blue and join the parade! Awards will be given for the most creative and patriotic entries.  

After the parade, plan on staying for all the fun on Olive Street between Washington & 10th Street.   

🎺 LIVE MUSIC BY THE TROUBADOURS Enjoy live music from The Troubadours! Bring your lawn chairs, shade umbrella, or family canopy and relax with neighbors as we celebrate America's 250th Birthday with music, fun, and community spirit. 

💦 DUNK TANK FUN Ready to make a splash? Stop by the dunk tank and take your best shot! Interested in volunteering to be dunked? We'd love to have a few brave community members join the fun. 

🌭 HOT DOGS & REFRESHMENTS Free hot dogs, waters, and ice pops will be available beginning at 11:00 a.m. while supplies last. Come hungry and enjoy a classic Fourth of July tradition with your neighbors!

🥧 APPLE PIE BAKING CONTEST Do you make the best apple pie in Washington Square? Enter our Apple Pie Baking Contest and show off your baking skills! Whether your recipe is a treasured family tradition or a new favorite, we'd love to taste it. Bring your pie to Olive & Washington before the parade (10AM) for judging.  Winners announced at Noon. Win a prize and amaze your neighbors with your baking skill!   

🥧🍴 APPLE PIE EATING CONTEST Think you can finish a slice faster than your neighbors? No hands! Sign up for our Apple Pie Eating Contest and compete for bragging rights and prizes! 

🎨 FACE PAINTING Children and adults can show their patriotic spirit with festive face painting available from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

🎉 FAMILY FUN & GAMES Enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the day, including water balloon fun, lawn games, and opportunities to make lasting memories with friends and neighbors.
